Action Camera Control: Setup & Compatibility Guide

RiderNav Display comes with action camera control functionality pre-installed. Simply pair your camera and start using this feature right out of the box—no setup or firmware update required.

Supported Cameras

The RiderNav Display supports the following action cameras:

Insta360: X5, X4, ACE PRO, ACE PRO2
GoPro: HERO 10, HERO 11, HERO 12, HERO 13
DJI: Osmo Action 6, Osmo Action 5 Pro, Osmo 360

Note: The RiderNav Display can only connect to one camera at a time. Multiple camera connections are not supported.


What You Can Do

✅ Start/Stop recording
✅ Take photos
✅ Adjust camera settings
✅ Switch recording modes

Live preview is NOT supported – You cannot view camera footage on the RiderNav Display


How to Pair Your Camera

  1. Power on your camera and enable wireless/remote control mode

  2. Keep the camera close to the RiderNav Display during pairing

  3. On the RiderNav Display, go to Settings > Camera and select your camera model

  4. Follow the on-screen instructions to complete pairing

Important: Stay on the pairing page during the connection process. If you navigate away, the connection will drop.


Troubleshooting

Camera won't pair?

  • Reset network/wireless connections on your camera

  • Restart both the RiderNav Display and your camera

  • Ensure you're on the correct pairing page

  • Verify your camera model is supported

Connection drops frequently?

  • Keep the camera within close range of the RiderNav Display

  • Check that wireless mode is enabled on the camera

  • Update your camera's firmware to the latest version
