If your BMW TFT shows tire pressure correctly but your RiderNav R7M does not, this article explains what to check and what it may mean.
What You’re Seeing
BMW TFT dashboard displays TPMS (tire pressure) normally
R7M shows no TPMS values, while other vehicle data may still display correctly
Step 1: Set the Correct TPMS Data Source
R7M can read tire pressure from different sources. If the source is set incorrectly, TPMS won’t appear.
On your R7M go to: Settings → Function → TPMS Settings
Find TPMS Source / Data Source
Set it to NAV (or Motorcycle, depending on firmware)
Do not select TPMS (that option is for RiderNav external TPMS sensors)
Return to the TPMS widget/page and check if values appear
Step 2: If TPMS Still Doesn’t Show
If you’ve selected NAV/Motorcycle and restarted the display, but:
TPMS still does not appear on R7M, and
other BMW data (speed, RPM, fuel, etc.) still transfers normally,
then it’s likely your BMW is not transmitting TPMS data through the navigation cradle interface (even though it appears on the TFT). In that case, R7M cannot access it, and RiderNav cannot change BMW’s internal data output.
Please note: This is not a product quality issue. R7M is only one part of the data chain, and we cannot guarantee that every data field will be available on every BMW model/year. BMW determines what is shared through its protocol.
TPMS values must first be generated by your BMW’s factory TPMS sensors, and then your motorcycle must broadcast that TPMS data through BMW’s LIN/navigation-cradle protocol. Only if both conditions are met can the R7M receive and display tire pressure. If your BMW does not transmit TPMS data over the LIN interface (even though it shows on the TFT), the R7M cannot access it.
