The R7M comes equipped with integrated Action Camera Control, allowing you to capture every moment of your ride without ever having to fumble with your camera mid-ride. By syncing your camera directly to the R7M interface, you can manage recordings and toggle modes while keeping your focus firmly on the road.

The R7M supports a wide range of industry-leading action cameras. Please note that the R7M can maintain a connection with one camera at a time; multiple simultaneous connections are not supported.

Functional Overview
Once connected, you can trigger core camera functions directly from the R7M display. This includes starting or stopping video recordings, capturing high-resolution photos, and switching between different shooting modes.
While the R7M provides robust remote control and setting adjustments, please be aware that Live Preview is not supported. You will not be able to view the camera’s real-time footage on the R7M screen during operation.
Pairing Your Camera
To begin the setup, ensure your action camera is powered on and its Wireless/Remote Control mode is enabled. Position the camera close to the R7M to ensure a stable initial handshake.
Navigate to Settings > Functions > Action Camera Control on your R7M and select your specific camera model from the list. It is important to stay on the pairing page until the process is fully complete; navigating away or switching menus during this brief window may cause the connection to drop.
BMW Wonder Wheel Integration
For riders using the R7M on a compatible BMW motorcycle, the Wonder Wheel (Multi-Controller) offers an even more seamless way to manage your camera. Once you have entered the Action Camera Control interface, you can navigate the menus without taking your hands off the grips:
Short-Tilt Multi-Controller Left/Right: Navigate the cursor.
Press Direction Reset Button: Confirms selection.
Troubleshooting
If you encounter difficulty pairing your device, we recommend a few quick steps to restore the connection. First, reset the wireless network settings on your camera and restart both the camera and the R7M. Ensure you are remaining on the dedicated pairing screen throughout the attempt.
For intermittent connection issues, verify that your camera is running the latest firmware version and remains within close physical range of the R7M. Frequent drops are often resolved by ensuring the camera’s wireless signal is not being obstructed or put into a power-saving sleep mode.
