RiderNav Display (R7M/R7X) Not Support Dashcam or External Cameras

The RiderNav Display (R7M/R7X) does not support dashcam recording or external camera connections.

Updated this week

RiderNav Display was built with one goal: a focused, quick-release riding display for riders—clean integration, fast install, and everyday reliability. To keep that experience truly plug-and-play, we intentionally do not include camera features.

By excluding camera integration, we ensure:

  • Simple, fast installation — no extra wiring, no additional mounts, no camera setup

  • A cleaner cockpit — fewer components, fewer failure points

  • Better value — you don’t pay for features you may not need

Alternative Solutions for Recording

If you need video recording capabilities while riding, we recommend:

1. Action Cameras (Recommended)

The R7M can control compatible action cameras including:

  • Insta360: X5, X4, ACE PRO, ACE PRO2

  • GoPro: HERO 10, HERO 11, HERO 12, HERO 13

  • DJI: Osmo Action 6, Osmo Action 5 Pro, Osmo 360

While the R7M cannot record video itself, you can use it to start/stop recording on these compatible cameras and control their settings directly from the R7M display.

2. Helmet Cameras

Many riders use helmet-mounted action cameras for recording their rides, which can be controlled via the R7M if using compatible models listed above.
