iderNav Display mirrors your phone's screen but cannot control audio volume. Find out how to adjust navigation, music, and call volumes from your paired device.

How Volume Control Works

Your RiderNav Display mirrors content from your connected smartphone but does not have independent audio control functionality. All volume adjustments for navigation prompts, music playback, and other audio must be performed directly on your paired phone.

Adjusting Audio Levels

For Navigation Voice Prompts:

  • Open your navigation app (Google Maps, Waze, etc.) on your phone

  • Adjust volume using your phone's volume buttons or in-app settings

For Music & Media:

  • Use your phone's physical volume buttons during playback

  • Or adjust volume within your music app (Spotify, Apple Music, etc.)

For Phone Calls:

  • Control call volume using your phone's volume controls during an active call

Why Can't I Control Volume from the Display?

The RiderNav Display functions as a secondary screen that wirelessly projects your phone's interface. Since audio processing happens on your phone (not the display), volume control remains with the source device. This is a standard limitation of screen mirroring technology.

Quick Tips

πŸ’‘ Set volume before you ride – Adjust navigation and media volume to your preferred levels while stationary
πŸ’‘ Use Bluetooth helmet systems – Pair your phone directly to your Bluetooth headset for better audio control
πŸ’‘ Check app settings – Some navigation apps have independent volume controls separate from your phone's system volume
