Understanding Tilt Angle Data on RiderNav

RiderNav display does not have a built-in tilt angle sensor. Instead, it reads tilt angle data directly from your motorcycle's onboard sensors through the vehicle's communication system.

Why Your Tilt Angle Shows Zero

If the tilt angle reading on your RiderNav display consistently shows zero, there are two possible reasons:

1. Your Motorcycle Doesn't Have a Tilt Angle Sensor

Many motorcycles, especially older models or entry-level bikes, are not equipped with tilt angle sensors. This is a vehicle limitation, not a device issue.

2. Incompatible Data Format

Some motorcycles have tilt angle sensors, but the data format or communication protocol may not be compatible with RiderNav display. In these cases, the sensor exists but cannot be read by the device.

What You Can Do

  • Check your motorcycle's specifications to confirm whether it includes a tilt angle sensor

  • Consult your motorcycle's manual or contact the manufacturer to verify sensor availability

  • If your bike does have the sensor but RiderNav cannot read it, this is a compatibility limitation between your specific motorcycle model and the display

Note: This is not a malfunction of your RiderNav display. The device is functioning correctly—it simply cannot display data that isn't available or accessible from your motorcycle.
